What began as a boutique property management firm serving condominiums and multifamily communities has evolved into a vertically integrated real estate company that combines hands-on operational expertise with strategic property ownership. Our foundation in property management gives us a unique perspective as investors—we understand what drives long-term asset performance because we have spent years managing properties on behalf of owners and communities.
Today, Verelia acquires and operates residential real estate with a focus on creating sustainable cash flow, improving resident experiences, and generating long-term value through disciplined asset management.
About the Founder
Stephen Twohig is the Founder and CEO of Verelia Properties.
Stephen began his career in property management, overseeing condominium and multifamily communities and developing expertise in building operations, financial management, capital planning, leasing, and resident experience. Through years of managing assets on behalf of owners and associations, he gained firsthand insight into what drives long-term property performance and value creation.
Recognizing opportunities beyond third-party management, Stephen expanded Verelia Properties into a real estate investment and operating company focused on acquiring, improving, and managing residential assets throughout the United States. Today, he leads the firm's acquisition strategy, asset management initiatives, and operational execution across its growing portfolio. His approach combines institutional-level discipline with the responsiveness and attention to detail of a boutique firm.
Stephen's philosophy is simple: successful real estate ownership starts with strong operations. By leveraging deep property management expertise and a hands-on ownership mindset, he seeks to create long-term value for residents, investors, and communities alike.
